Held Gently turns expanded honeycomb packing paper into wall-based paper constructions. Images of nature move through the lattice; light, shadow, and negative space carry as much information as the print itself. The work sits between image and structure: paper opened to its grid so the gaps do part of the shaping.

This series stays with perception through materials that do more than hold an image—they shape it. Seams, tears, and edge conditions register small decisions; expansion and compression create rhythm; cast shadows blur where surface ends and form begins. Protective by design yet delicate in use, the paper holds the image lightly and asks the eye to read what’s present and what’s implied.
